Tone — Music Royalty Accounting & Management Platform
animation motion design
A clean, minimal motion graphic explainer video to sit on Tone’s homepage, explain how their platform works and help convert leads.
Problem
Tone were rebuilding their website and reached out to get help making an animated explainer to show off the features and clean new UI of their music royalty platform.
Solution
Starting out with access to the teams Figma files I pulled colours, fonts, icons and layouts into Adobe Illustrator and got to work simplifying the UI down to its visual core to keep the focus in the right place during the animation. The animation aimed to align with the clean iconography of the platform but also add in elements of fun. Keeping with the dot pattern aesthetic of the logo, a series of minimalistic 2D characters were created to represent the various artist personas. I then pulled the project inline with other content created by Tone by using shifting gradients and noise grain effects.
The result was a clean, fun and vibrant explainer video that paired perfectly with existing content and sold the key points of the platform while showing off the clean, easy to use UI.
